What it's like to live with a scary genetic finding. How to find hope even when living with fear. Planning for the future when you don't know what will happen (which can apply to anyone on the planet).
Hi friends! This essay I wrote about the worst sunburn of my life and the trials of young love is one of my personal favs. I’d be honored if you checked it out! It’s apart of my “Chronicles of Cringe” series, aka moments that still keep me up at night well into my thirties!
Thank you! I write a weekly series called 5-Senses Sunday which melds sensory science with mindful eating and nervous system regulation to support people to cultivate a balanced and joyful relationship with food. It helps people who are trying to stop chronic dieting and build healthy habits around food - I specialize in highly sensitive women! Here is my post from yesterday. Would appreciate any likes or re-stacks! https://open.substack.com/pub/jennyedenberkmsed/p/5-senses-sunday-da3
My latest post about how AI helped me turn a breakdown into a breakthrough. A literal emotional breakdown, followed by an idea I wasn't sure was worthy of my time until I asked Gemini Pro for feedback.
I really enjoyed this, Melissa (and it’s timely because I also wrote about AI on my last post). AI isn’t going anywhere and I love your choice to master it and use it to elevate—not replace—your best creative self.❤️
When we look at the land do we think it is barren or just our personal perspective.
There was a quote I read, and it led to an essay which then offered me an opportunity to share a section of a larger work in progress. The premise behind the post and the longer work is how we view the landscape, and I question: Do I offer an observation that transcends what might be imagined as a barren land.
Thank you, Andrew. It is an interesting place to be - this moment. I wonder if it is because I took a break from the “hard stuff reading” and diving back in is what is most present in my mind.
I just published an interview with an individual who lost their father by suicide. I would love some serious engagement with this post if this is a topic that is close to your heart.
I took my teenagers to see The Weeknd in L.A.! The experience sparked a lot of thoughts on AI, and why I’m not convinced it’s the threat we may think it is for creatives.
Good for anyone feeling down about an unknown future in a world with AI.❤️
I think you nailed what's so wonderful and transporting about going to a live show. And I really hope you're right that our human desire for connection will be the thing that separates artists from AI bots.
It's experimental fiction (honestly, it's so genre fluid) and I think it's quirky and features off-the-wall, irreverent humour. It's about a couple of English teachers and the twists and turns their lives take.
I'm finally sharing one of my own posts! Not sure why I haven't yet, haha. Anyway, here goes...
1. Astrology, Tarot, & Journaling: Cancer, The Chariot, & The Mother
2. Anyone into Astrology and Tarot, and who grew up with an overprotective mother!

liked and cross-posted! I love AI analogies (and using AI as the tool it is!)
p.s. I didn't even know you could do such a thing as cross post; that's a cool Substack feature.
Ahh, Thank you Kristen!

Thank you ❤️
Love this. Do the same, for each and every project.
I wrote a different view than a lot of what I’ve seen in regards to AI and how it’s helped me here: https://open.substack.com/pub/letsfindjoy/p/ai-didnt-replace-meit-helped-me-return?r=1kaxw6&utm_medium=ios

Just had a read, great post :)
Thank you, Marcy. I enjoy reading the posts that are shared in these threads. I just published a piece called 20 Things I'd Tell My 20-Year-Old Self. It's a little snapshot of summer 1995 and a poem: https://vanessanovissimowright.substack.com/p/20-things-id-tell-my-20-year-old

Hi! I think it's cool how your writing seems to flow both from the land and from the literature you consume.

This is just a post of unmitigated joy (and mild panic) at befriending a crow, which I've wanted to do FOREVER. Also some ADHD thrown in.

I didn't know I wanted to read about befriending a crow, but I chuckled at your comment here and took a gander. Caw is quite the bossy friend! :)
She is, but we love her!

Here's my lone piece of writing that winds up being partly about AI. It's kinda an outlier for me: https://the17pointscale.substack.com/p/the-reenactment
Thanks so much for reading and sharing, Andrew. I can't wait to read your piece.

Hello, I've written some Witchcraft FAQs and a re-introduction of sorts as I’m celebrating 3 years writing on Substack!
It’s for anyone curious about witchcraft and the different terms use. I’ve assembled the most commonly asked questions.
