Welcome to our September Call for Collaboration! Perhaps the back-to-school energy has you ready to jump back into collaboration?
It’s admittedly been quite the slow summer on CollabStack, but as I’ve heard from a few of you, this doesn’t mean collaboration has been abandoned. The last couple months have been a time for things to quietly develop, for foundations for future collaborations to form. It has also been a well-deserved break, a releasing of the pressure to create, create, create, and to instead pause and just be. And that’s something we can all benefit from in the end.
I, too, have fallen behind on collaborative projects and specifically on entering new folks into our CollabStack Directory. I added many of you this weekend who applied a couple months back (I am so sorry it has taken this long, and I thank you for your patience). I encourage everyone to revisit the Directory if you haven’t checked it out in a bit, as we now have more than 200 potential collaborators there!
And if you’re officially ready to get back to collaboration, the comments on this post are open! Head there and share:
The subject/topics you write about (Tip: Keep this to two or three words)
The name of your publication with a link to it
How you’d like to collaborate with other creators (guest posting, cross-posting, recommendations, interviews, co-written posts, etc) and/or who you are hoping to connect with (creators who write about a specific topic, have knowledge in a specific area, etc).
Once you’ve shared, start connecting! Browse the comments and introduce yourself to anyone you want to chat with more.
And remember: This thread is open all month, so come back and check out the newest comments.

Hi, I’m Marcy Farrey (pronounced Fairy 🧚♀️ ), and I’m on a mission to help others connect and collaborate in meaningful ways here on Substack. Consider me your Farrey 🧚♀️ Godmother of Collaboration!
If you love CollabStack, it would mean so much to me if you restacked this post so more people can participate. This will help our little community grow. Thank you for your support!
1. Collaboration, of course!
2. CollabStack (you're here now)
3. I want to write a Keys to Collaboration post on "When Collaboration Goes Wrong" or "When Collaborations Don't Work Out." I will share my own experiences, but would also like to share those of others who have had a collaboration not pan out as expected or even go terribly wrong (cause that is possible) and what they learned from that experience. What advice would you give to someone else (and to the CollabStack community) based on that experience?
Feel free to send me a DM or comment here if you are willing to share!
Hey everyone! I'm planning to feature two guest posts per month starting in 2026. Here's a little bit of what you might want to write about:
Featured themes might include:
Loss turned to insight
Identity shifts
Motherhood in midlife
Navigating grief with grace
Finding strength in vulnerability
Always with an emphasis on emotional truth and authenticity.
My publication is I GROW STRONG AGAIN
