3. How I'd like to collaborate: I am seeking stories to publish as a monthly guest post on my Substack for 2026. What I'd like is a specific incident of a hardship that happened to you and how you dealt with it, plus where you are now. You can read my archives to get a feel for what other guests have written. These are some of the most popular pieces on my Substack with a lot of engagement and much encouragement from my community of readers!
Hi Jeannie, I would love to talk about my experience of getting a chronic health diagnosis and how I used it to create a more thriving business. DM me if you would like more details. Warmly, Marisa
Hi @Marisa Guthrie . Yes, I would love to hear more about your story! Can you please DM me so we can continue the conversation? I am in the middle of checking my comments and emails before I pick up my kids, so if you can initiate the conversation, I would appreciate it.
Hi Jeannie, I'd love to submit something about how I overcame alcohol addiction. I'll have a read through previous posts and your submission guidelines x
Jeannie, I would be interested in this. I have a published essay in Appalachia Journals called "Broken Pieces" which has been on my mind to review and maybe repurpose.
I have launched a new service mining your writing for hints and insights into how art and health might relate for you. I would love to collaborate by offering this service free to max 3 people in exchange for being able to share portions of your report (anonymous if you prefer) as samples in marketing. Details: https://kathrynvercillo.substack.com/p/the-art-meets-health-creative-wellness
If you have space, I would be interested in this. I’m dealing with a lot of anxiety and overwhelm right now (and probably some lingering postpartum stuff), and would be curious to see and share how art and creativity might impact this.
I absolutely NEED collabs -- it's the lifeblood of what I'm trying to build!
1. I'm cultivating a "Mass Observation Project" for this modern era of history, politics, and society. In essence, the stories and reflections of real people living through *waves hands* all of this.
3. I'm looking for your stories. They can be any reflection/journal entry on what you're thinking and feeling right now, or you can look at the bottom of almost all of my own posts on MO25 for a "community prompt" to answer. Nothing is too mundane, no story is too insignificant. We're all a part of living history!
Brianne, I have been trying to get you a story. The first one I wrote did not feel like the fit for you I thought it would turn into. But I've got another one in draft.
3. I'm looking for guest posts from people who have lived abroad (at some time in their lives, even if that time is not right now) for a section of my newsletter called "Dear Me, From Here: Letters to Our Younger Selves." The idea is that you send a letter to your younger self (who hadn't yet moved abroad) and you tell her what you know now that you didn't know then. What is the big burning question in younger you's mind that would make all the difference if she knew the answer? What advice, warnings, encouragement, or funny stories would you share with her? What moments or lessons from your journey would you want that past self to know? What would she most want to know if she got a letter from her future self? Your letter can be serious or lighthearted, candid or poetic — as long as it tells a story that only you could tell. Something under 2000 words.
If this sounds like fun or like something you'd like to write and post for your own substack and are OK with a cross posting situation with The Expat Diaries? I'd be up for that too!
I love the idea of the "Dear Me, From Here." I have lived and worked abroad twice as a student, have done four working holidays, including spending seven weeks in Spain and I am in the process of moving to France. I write about journaling through transitions for mid-life women and my journey to France. You can take a look at my Substack here: https://journalwithcarol.substack.com. I'd be happy to cross-post too.
I'm a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor and write about body-mind-spirit wellness (including in relation to food and physical caretaking), so I may be a fit for your Q&A series.
Maroli Tango ~ A Serial Novel is an experiment at exposing a work-in-process, with the intention of acquiring first readers. This has not worked out. I am either invisible on this platform, or the audience for literary science fiction adventure intrigue family drama space soap opera is smaller than I imagined.
John have you connected with Simon K Jones who writes Tales from the Triverse within his publication Write More with Simon J Jones? He also does videos about Substack. Tales from the Triverse has been very succcessful SciFi Detective Serial . Hope that helps.
A blend of romance (which has the highest readers) with sci-fi. Unfortunately, that might be hard to find on this platform. Don't give up looking just yet.
The mistake I would most like to avoid is misinterpreting statistics to infer that the concept is a clunker. In the current edit, reader retention appears to be a problem. Is that because first chapters are weak? Am I failing to foreshadow what kind of book it is? Is the marketplace not buying the opposite of ugly and pessimistic?
I'm not getting enough traffic to draw any of these conclusions.
3. how I’d like to collaborate: I am seeking opportunities to guest write for writing coaches, editors or educators about my elemental framework. I’m also open to guest speaking on a podcast.
3. How you’d like to collaborate: I am looking to guest post on others' publications, I would love to receive some recommendations, I am open for interviews (written or podcast). I would love to connect with writers around the topics of motherhood, womanhood and spirituality.
I'm looking for people who have a similar interest in health and wellbeing. It doesn't have to be about food. It can be about both body and mind, exercise, sleep, social issues, or living the good life. I can tie all of these things to the gut. I currently have a big interest in discussing longevity and aging information. I would like to collaborate on doing interviews or being interviewed, sharing recommendations. I enjoy people's stories and perspectives, and I've even re-posted other people's posts (with the writer's permission) because I find them fascinating.
I’m Lakiesha Edwards, author, poet, screenwriter, and the founder of CREATIVE EMPIRE LLC — a publication rebranded from Kiesha’s Publications & Productions. My work focuses on empowerment, writing, editing, publishing, and business growth for creative minds.

• Writer/publisher spotlights
• Recommendations to each other’s audience or email lists
If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to connect further and brainstorm something impactful together. Let me know if you’re interested or open to a brief chat.
3. Collaborations: 60 minute Substack Lives (livestreamed videos in Substack app) with fellow writers who are 50+. Usually on Fridays from 1 - 2 pm or 2 - 3 pm Central (I live in TX).

3. Collaborations: I am doing end-of-month posts where I shared posts from other midlife writers from various backgrounds/topics. I tag the writer and link to the post. I plan to post these the last Sunday of each month for the rest of the year. I did one for July already. I'd also love to guest post, be interviewed, or other collabs around midlife/menopause.
Hi Vanessa, I’m 56 and my “Changing Lives” Substack https://wendigordon.substack.com is about mental and spiritual health. I mostly do video posts now (Substack Lives with other 50+ writers) but have LOTS of written posts in my archive which would probably work well for your Sunday guest posts. DM me if you’re interested.
Wendy--wonderful! I will add your link to my spreadsheet and reach out for August or September roundup. I appreciate you commenting. Have a great week! -Vanessa

I have a love/hate relationship with Substack. It takes work to find the audience so I'd hate for you to give up with frustration just yet.
