Let’s Connect
A big welcome to all of our newest subscribers!
If you weren’t here for the very first CollabStack post, we used it as a thread to connect and find potential collaborators. This is something I want to do regularly, separate from the formal CollabStack Directory I am building.
How the Call for Collaboration Works
How I do these will be adjusted to fit the needs of the group, but here’s a brief overview of how I’d like to start:
“Open Calls for Collaboration” will happen on the first and third Monday of the month.
I will open up the comments for all of you to share how you’d like to collaborate or connect at this time.
I’ll provide prompts as suggestions for what to share. I’ll switch up the questions each time to help everyone show more of their personalities (which I hope helps you connect with other like-minded individuals).
From there, browse each other’s comments and reply to anyone who you might want to connect with.
Share Your Thoughts
As far as frequency of these threads, I want to be open and respond to the needs of the group. So I can gauge your interest, please participate in the quick poll below:
Calls for Collaboration vs The Directory
Again, these threads are separate from the formal directory of publications. The Directory will be a well-organized reference library for you to browse anytime, while these posts are chat threads designed to facilitate conversation and connection in real time. They also give you the chance to ask for a specific type of collaboration that you’re seeking at the moment.
That said, if you want to be part of the formal directory and haven’t yet filled out the form, you are still welcome to submit!
Learn more about the directory in my previous post.
Start Connecting NOW
It’s time to chat! Head into the comments and tell us:
Your publication, with a link to it. (If you don’t have a publication yet, you can skip this part.)
Two to three themes or topics you cover in your writing.
One way you would you like to collaborate with another creator on Substack before the end of the year. If before the end of the year seems too soon or like too much pressure to co-create something, that’s more than okay—focus on the type of connection you’d like to make. The timeframe in which the collaboration is completed can be more open.
Remember to browse the other comments and respond to anyone you’d like to connect with.
I’ll kick it off in the comments, and I hope to see you there!
Love the idea of CollabStack? Please restack this post and share it with any and all who might be interested. This is how we will grow the community and make more meaningful connections.

3. I'd love to have a guest post/guest host on my podcast at the end of December who can give a new or different take on New Years Resolutions and provide some journal prompts to help with that. You can learn more about what guest hosting the podcast looks like here: https://souljournalingsessions.substack.com/p/lets-collaborate-guest-host-post-submissions.
Create Me Free: where art meets psychology.
We are not all "tortured geniuses" and art isn't always therapy - both things can be true but most of where art meets psychology is in the rich magical middle of those two experiences. That middle is what Create Me Free is all about.
